Henderson Beach State Park

In the heart of Destin, between the downtown and Crystal Beach communities, rests our Henderson State Park, encompassing more than 6,000 feet of natural scenic shoreline and the emerald green waters of the Gulf of Mexico on its edge. Guests enjoy several pavilions for picnicking and grilling. The nature trail, including a playground for the kids bestows visitors a rare peek at the coastal dune ecosystem and abundant wildlife.

Topsail Hill Preserve State Park

Just on the eastern edge of Destin, in the Beaches of South Walton, this wonderful park includes 3.2 miles of secluded, pristine beaches with majestic dunes over 25 feet tall. Enjoy fishing or paddle boarding in the three rare coastal dune lakes. With footpaths threading through, it is a hiking and bird-watching paradise.

Grayton Beach State Park (Gulf Front)

Full facility park with 37 campsites, 30 cabins, showers, boat ramp, fishing, nature walks , picnicking, swimming, paved bicycle paths, hiking/nature trails, recreation area, canoeing , handicapped accessible boardwalk and beach wheelchair is available. Campsites are equipped with picnic tables, grills, water and electricity. Park rangers provide campfire programs seasonally.

Grayton Beach State Park is located on S.R. 30-A, south of U.S. 98.

Niceville Dog Park -- Off Leash Dog Park

4 acre fenced park with shade trees, running space and a continuous flowing dog water station. Please use the park at your own risk. Parents should use caution with small children. Park is located in Niceville off Hwy 85 just north of the soccer/football fields.

Park opens at dawn and closes at 10pm.

Scenic Highway 30-A Bike Path

Safely navigate South Walton's most picturesque roadway on eight-feet wide, off-road bike paths that wind along pristine fresh water lakes, quiet communities, undeveloped woodlands and beach areas. Paths are constructed from Blue Mountain Beach to Inlet Beach, except where pedestrian sidewalks exist. Nine miles are off-road, and a majority of the rest of the 18-mile stretch is connected to the highway.
